Easy Homemade Veggie Burger Recipe

No vegetarian meal plan would be complete without a delicious, homemade veggie burger recipe. These homemade veggie burgers taste better than the frozen store bought ones!

Perfect for grilling, baking, or pan frying.

Add fresh tomatoes, onion, cheese, ketchup, and enjoy!

This recipe makes about 4 patties.

Homemade Veggie Burger Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 (16 ounce) can black beans, drained, rinsed, and dried
1/2 green bell pepper, cut into 2 inch strips
1/2 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, peeled
2 eggs
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon hot sauce
3/4 cup bread crumbs
DIRECTIONS

1. In a medium bowl, mash black beans with a fork until thick and pasty.
2. In a blender or food processor, blend bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Then add breadcrumbs, remaining spices, eggs, and finally beans in the blender.
4. Cool mixture, then shape into patties on waxed paper.
5.Freeze patties, then just grill, pan sear, or bake at 375 (about 10 minutes per side).
